Herrera leads groundbreaking of Hagbaya HS in Catigbian 
CATIGBIAN-Vice-Governor Julius Caesar Herrera led provincial officials in the site blessing and  ground-breaking ceremony of the 4th public secondary school in this town- -the Hagbuaya High School- -on August 26.
      With Herrera were Provincial Administrator Tomas Abapo Jr., representing Bohol Governor Erico Aumentado, Provincial Engineer Edwin Vallejos and Lina Mar, representing Division Superintendent Dr. Eladio Jala.
      Rev. Fr. Danilo Maniwan, parish priest of the Immaculate Conception and Rev. Fr. Rueben Neron Angcla, parish priest of Sr. Sto. Niño Parish led the blessing of the site attended by more or less 200 people composed of local officials and employees, barangay officials of Hagbuaya led by Barangay Captain Jorgea Calacat, teaching force of Hagbuaya elementary and secondary schools, students, parents and barangay folks.
      Catigbian High School Principal Teogenes Galon, the mother school of all public secondary schools here, elaborately narrated the history of the creation of the school.
      ”The idea of putting up another secondary school was conceived by Mayor BertSal during the wake of the late barangay captain of Hagbuaya. That simple conversation flourished into a dream and now realized in today’s blessing,” Galon narrated.
      For his part, Mayor Roberto Salinas expressed gratitude to the Quiño family who donated the property where the school will constructed, “an instrument that will ensure a brighter future of our youth today and the future generations”.
      He also thanked the “barangay officials and the people of Hagbuaya for their strong support and cooperation, the local government officials and DepEd people who untiringly prepare all the papers, check and approve it”.
